SEO sounds technical, but for a small business the starting point is surprisingly simple. Here is a checklist you can work through over a few weekends, even if you have never touched your website settings before.
Get the basics right
- Every page has its own title and a short description of what it covers.
- Your site loads quickly on a phone. Most of your visitors will be on mobile.
- Your site uses https and has no broken pages.
- You have a contact page with your real address and phone number.
Choose a few keywords, not fifty
Think about what a customer would type when they need you. For a Ghaziabad physiotherapist that might be “physiotherapy clinic near me” or “back pain treatment Ghaziabad”. Pick one main phrase for each page and use it naturally in the title, the first paragraph and a heading.
Write for people first
Explain what you do, who it is for, what it costs or how pricing works, and what happens next. Pages that answer real questions tend to do better than pages stuffed with keywords.
Set up your local listings
A complete Google Business Profile, with accurate hours, photos and services, is often the quickest win for a business that serves a local area. Add your business to a few trusted directories as well, using exactly the same name, address and phone number each time.
Collect reviews
Ask happy customers for a review, and reply to every one. Reviews help people choose you and help search engines trust you.
Think about AI search too
People now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini for recommendations. The same habits that help in Google, clear answers, consistent business details and trustworthy pages, help you show up there. This is the area our AEO and GEO services focus on.
Check in once a month
Open Google Search Console, see which pages are getting impressions, and improve one page at a time. Small steady changes beat a big one-off push.
